Top Varieties for the 2022 Season
Which Annual and Perennial varieties will be hot for 2022?... the industry has voted!
The Trial Grounds facility at West Adderbury is fundamental to the Ball business in providing our Product, Sales and Technical teams the opportunity to evaluate current and potential new varieties throughout their growing stages and for garden performance. But it also provides a unique opportunity for our customers to see exactly what we are evaluating for future introduction as well as presenting existing lines along with innovative marketing ideas. True transparency and good honest trials.
We were therefore delighted this summer to have been the first professional Trial Grounds in the UK to open its doors to the gardening industry to see New Varieties for 2022 and ‘What’s cooking in the kitchen’!
Over 1,000 visitors representing numerous Plant Nurseries, Retailer, Mail Order, Local Authority, Landscapers and Gardening Press attended over an extended 5 week event.
Visitors were encouraged to vote for their ‘Favourite Plant Variety’ and the results of this are on the attached Press Release. I hope this may give a strong indication on what’s likely to be ‘Hot’ in Garden Centres and with Plant Retailers for the 2022 season.
